Leonia Deloris (Johnson) Nelson

Leonia Deloris (Johnson) Nelson, age 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Leonia was born June 27, 1934 in Bruceton, Tennessee to the late Cola (Weathers) Johnson and Hugh Johnson. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Flossie Walker, Roy Johnson, and Thomas Johnson. Leonia was a member of Greater Northwest Baptist Church and loved engaging in prayer. She was also an artist, creating paintings and needle work, and was an animal person, especially fond of cats.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tony Nelson, Sandy Nelson, and Paul Nelson (Brooke); grandchildren, Philip Nelson (Louisa) and Bianca Nelson; nephews, Michael Johnson and Eric Johnson; and former husband, John Nelson.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.

Leonia will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
