Leroy Clinton Bartlett III, 69, of Avon, Indiana passed away August 11, 2017 at his home with his family. He was born September 25, 1947 in Indianapolis to the late Leroy Clinton Bartlett II and June (Arnold) Bartlett. Leroy retired from Allison after over 40 years of service and immediately took a position at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway driving a tour bus. He knew the track in and out and loved racing. Leroy attended the race 46 years in a row always dressed in black and white. He also enjoyed boating and kept a boat at Lake Cumberland, but no one was allowed to use the cuddy or the head. He was married four times (only two counted).
He is survived by his daughter, Candice L. Cheek and grandchildren, Dylan Esch, Garrett Cheek, and Anjolie Cheek.
A Celebration of His Life will be held 6pm Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46224. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4pm to 6pm.
