Lies Gunarti, lovingly known as Khoe Liesje, passed away peacefully in Woodland Hills, California, on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born in Solo, Indonesia, Lies was a woman of remarkable strength, intelligence, and ambition. She had big goals and the courage to pursue them. Effortlessly funny, quite sassy, caring, and a true perfectionist, she left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met.

In Indonesia, Lies established herself as a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur, driven by a desire to build a secure future for her loved ones. In 1991, she took another courageous step and initiated her family's move to Los Angeles, California, opening up a world of new opportunities.

Above all her professional accomplishments, her family was always her greatest priority. She sacrificed and worked tirelessly to ensure her children had every opportunity to thrive. Her unwavering devotion, sharp wit, and big dreams are the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

She is survived by:

Her son, Handojo Witosaputro, and daughter-in-law, Frances Gunawan; granddaughter, Caitlyn Witosaputro.

Her daughter, Inna Santoso; granddaughter, Angie Santoso, and grandson-in-law, Eric Rasyidi; great-grandson, Elliott Rasyidi; granddaughter, Monica Koga, and grandson-in-law, Alakai Koga.

Her son, Hendry Witosaputro, and daughter-in-law, Anita Witosaputro; granddaughter, Amanda Witosaputro.

Her daughter, Puspito Sari Dewi; granddaughters, Michelle Attan and Natasha Attan.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walidi Wito, who passed away in 2008.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, US, on October 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.

Final resting place will be Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W 38th St, Indianapolis.
