Lillian Ann Brown

Lillian was born in Silex, Missouri, to Ben D. and Beatrice Royster on March 23, 1942. She attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Elementary School and Silex High School, graduating in May 1960.

She married Robert H. Brown on September 22, 1962, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood, Missouri.

Lillian held various jobs throughout her early years. When her children were born, she decided to stay home as a homemaker, where she found great joy in raising her three daughters. She loved gardening, sewing, quilting, and crafting, and especially enjoyed doting on her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured the time spent with those she loved.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Ben D. and Beatrice Royster; her brothers, Ben Royster and Joe Royster; and her sisters, Marylou Harrison and Betty Jean McDonald.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert H. Brown; her three daughters, Gail (Darren) Lewis, Kathy (David) Stratton, and Sharon (Brad) Holmes; her sister, Juanita Dudas; six grandchildren, Tyler and Conner Lewis, Cooper (Macy) and Madison Stratton, and Rachel (Fiancé Brian Sullivan) and Valerie Holmes; and two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Benji. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana. Burial will follow at Acton Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Little & Sons Funeral Home.

Lillian will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her loving spirit, generous heart, and devotion to her family will remain in their hearts forever.
