She was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Samuel Davenport, Sr., son, William Howard, daughter, Beverly Miller.
She leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Jerry Davenport; Byron Davenport (Jean) and Samuel Davenport, Jr. (Isabel); daughters, Virginia Davenport; Flora Jefferson; Corria Gibson; Barbara White (Archie) and Mary Hatcher; 175 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Her visitation will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2015, 10am-12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 5325 E. 30th Street. Her burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
