Mack was always, always, always gracious and kind to us when he would bring his car to our shop. Always asking about our kids and what they were doing. He was very proud of his nieces, too. Such a kind and gentle man. He will be missed.

To Mack's Family:
I first met Mack 41 years ago when he pledged Pi Kappa Alpha at Miami, of which I was already a member. We had a lot of great fun together during those frat boy years. Mack was the same guy then that he was when he passed, gregarious, happy, spirited, brave, and tough. Never heard a negative word come out of his mouth. We ran into each other off and on over the years, reconnecting again when we both served on the board of MDFF a few years ago. We would get together once or twice a year after that just to catch up and share a laugh. I hadn't seen Mack much in the last couple of years as he became more ill and for that I am sorry. Mack's courage, and his friendship, will stay with me forever. I am happy to have had him as a part of my life. Unfortunately, due to a travel conflict, I will not be able to make the service on Monday to pay my respects to Mack and my condolences to all of you. Please know that I am thinking of all of you at this time. Mack's life is one to be celebrated. All my best. May God Bless.

We are so sad to hear about Mack's passing. Both of us went to grade school with Mack at St. Pius, and I went on to graduate from Chatard with him. Since we no longer live in Indy, my interactions with Mack were few, but every time I ran into him, he was so friendly and kind. Several of my old friends were part of the group that took him dinners. What is so impressive to me is that he made them feel so good. They seemed to get more from helping Mack than they gave. Surely, God has reserved a special place in heaven for Mack.

We will keep your family in our prayers,
Tom and Sarah (Farney) Gaither
