IN THE CARE OF
Little & Sons Funeral Home
Marcia Ruth (Stanley) Ernst, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 2, 2021. She was born on July 2, 1941 in Beatrice, Nebraska to the late Harold "Rex" and Geneva (Attebery) Stanley.
Marcia served with her husband as a missionary in Papua New Guinea for 40 years. She was faithful to her family and her dear Lord Jesus her entire life. She loved God's Word, and dedicated her life to teaching others to understand and obey it. Marcia was also a talented musician. She always used that God-given talent to honor Him, and to enrich many aspects of her ministry.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband, Richard Ernst Sr. of Indianapolis, IN; children, Richard (Araceli) Ernst Jr. of Orlando, FL, Jill (Mark) Billington of Quebec City and Daniel (Gwen) Ernst of Kettering, OH; grandchildren, Sam, Jack, Jake, Lydia, Noelani, Joel and Claire; and siblings, Melvin Stanley and Eldon Stanley. Marcia was preceded in passing by her parents.
A memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 10:00am until noon at First Baptist Church of Beech Grove, 5521 Churchman Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203. A memorial service will immediately follow at noon also at the church.
If you wish to give something in her memory, we ask that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Life Centers, an organization focused on saving babies in Central Indiana from abortion. Marcia used to volunteer there. Protecting the unborn was dear to her heart, and we would be humbled if you feel led to aid the cause in her memory.
