94, of Indianapolis, died on September 17, 2017. She was born July 13, 1923 in Indianapolis to the late William F. “Frank” and Anna Catherine (Leahy) Callahan. Margaret served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her sisters Mary Sturgis, Anna Dennis, Rose Callahan and brothers Francis and John Callahan. Margaret is survived by her dear sister Julia “Judy” Looney and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 20 from 6 – 8 pm at St. Paul’s Hermitage. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 21 at 11 am at St Paul’s Hermitage. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in Margaret’s name may be made to St. Paul’s Hermitage or St. Vincent DePaul Society. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary.
