

94, of Indianapolis departed this life November 22, 2015. Margaret was born April 16, 1921 in Indianapolis to the late Benjamin B. and Julia (Sugrue) Schaffer. Margaret was a graduate of Arsenal Tech. She was a 60 year, dedicated member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority – Tau Chapter. Margaret always put family first, and enjoyed playing card games and sharing stories. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John “Ray” Geilker and sister, Frances M. Smith. She is survived by her loving children, Jack (Debbie) Geilker and Judy (Richard) Beeson; grandchildren, Kimberly Godby, Kerri Pointer, Casey Godby, Corey Geilker and Angie Vogel; dear aunt, Alice VanHooser; three step- grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Visitation will be Friday, November 27th from 4 – 8 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Prayers will be said at 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 28th at the mortuary followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Entombment follows at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to: St. Paul Hermitage, Holy Spirit Catholic Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
