Margaret L. Potvin Moriarty

83, died peacefully on April 16th. Margaret was the only daughter of Mary E. and Louis J. Potvin, born November 24th, 1927 (Thanksgiving Day) in Conneaut, Ohio. Margaret married Patrick J. Moriarty of Sneem, Co Kerry, Ireland on April 14th, 1952. The couple eventually settled in Indianapolis, IN, where they reared nine children on the city’s eastside (St. Therese of the Little Flower Parish). Children include: Denis J. (Antje) Moriarty of Los Angeles, CA, Mary B. (Frank) Moriarty Adams (City Councilor), Michael B. Moriarty, John F. (Lori) Moriarty, Brian L. Moriarty, Therese B. (Dave) Brandon, Thomas D. Moriarty, and Rev, Joseph B. Moriarty. Margaret was the proud loving grandmother of ten grandchildren: Tim, Andrew, Ryan, Elizabeth (Libby), Kristian, Katie, Hannah and Conor Moriarty and Eamonn and Caitlin Brandon. Margaret will be remembered as a woman of faith who passed on Christian (Roman Catholic) values through her fidelity to the sacraments of the church. As a registered nurse (Community Hospital), devoted wife and loving mother Margaret sought to love God in all things. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother: Ralph Potvin, son Patrick T. Moriarty, daughter Eileen Moriarty. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 25th at Little Flower Catholic Church beginning at 2 and concluding with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday April 26th at St. Paul Hermitage, Beech Grove from 3 – 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 27th. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Margaret’s name may be made to Little Flower School Tuition Assistance Fund or the Little Flower Ladies Club of which she was a member.
