

90, Indianapolis, went to her eternal reward on September 9, 2014. Affectionately known as both Margie and Maggie, she was born February 20, 1924 to Edwin and Katherine Tierney. She attended St. Philip Neri Catholic Grade School and St. Mary's Catholic High School. She was employed by R.C.A. Corporation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where she was awarded a special citation by the F.B.I. Director, J. Edgar Hoover. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc parish.
On August 9, 1947, she married Harold John Weinmann in the first interfaith marriage to be performed in a Catholic church in Indianapolis. She authored the book, "It's Not All in the Family" and, with the help of two of her grandchildren, had it published in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hingsbergen; sons, Bill (Cathy), Mike and Pat (Jill Lawson) Weinmann; brother, Joseph Tierney; grandchildren, Diane Butorac, Lakewood, WA, Laura (Obie) Ray, Seattle, WA, Elaine (Colin) Miller, Indianapolis, Elizabeth (Sam) Ramachandran, Chicago, IL, Kevin (Jen) Weinmann, Indianapolis and great-grandchildren, Ayden and Ava Ray, Abigail and Anna Miller, Will Ramachandran. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; brother, Jack Tierney and granddaughter, Stephanie Butorac.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Chapel of St. Augustine Home, 2345 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery. In her memory, donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor for benefit of St. Augustine Home.
