

She was a Concerned Clergy (Former Secretary), she served on the Board of Trustees at the Citizen's Multi Service Center. She was a former Precinct Committee person in the First Ward and worked on various elected officials campaigns.
Her father, George P. Oakley, mother, Dorothy Gage Oakley, 1 sister preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Karl D. Brady Jr (Angela), Marcus Oakley, daughters, Dorothy A. Brady, Karol D. Bates (Derrick), Deetra L. Smith, brothers, George S. Oakley, Gregory L. Oakley, Jerome M. Oakley, John F. Oakley, Charles. P. Oakley (Lee), Charles E. Oakley, sisters, Eva Word, Georgetta Oakley, Dorothea Norwood (Glenn), Charlene Holman (Couture), Valrie Garner (Richard),Mary Oakley, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Her visitation will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2015, 10am- 12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm at Zion Hope Baptist Church. Her burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
