Maria Alicia was an active member of Evangelical Peniel Church. At church she was involved in many church activities. She was involved in childcare, serving as an usher, and helping out with food sales.
No one who met Maria Alicia forgot her infectious passion for life. Anyone who crossed paths with her couldn’t help but be inspired by her everlasting determination. She was humble and kind, yet a force to be reckoned with. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met.
Maria Alicia lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed taking trips to New York to visit with family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time Maria Alicia took pleasure in listening to sermons and Christian music.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Jennifer Bibano of Indianapolis, IN, Rosa Aparicio, Danny Aparicio, Victor Aparicio, and Mario Aparicio all of Long Island, NY; four siblings, Gilberto Zelaya, Edy Jaco, Odilia Mejia, Julia Rivera, and Roberina Zelaya; seven grandchildren, Daniel Aparicio, Javier Argueta, Joanna Argueta, Christiano Aparicio, London Aparicio, Payton Aparicio, and Lucas Bibano; a host of friends.
