Marie Therese Haithcoat

Marie Therese Haithcoat, age 80, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was born in Kilsyth, Scotland on May 25, 1943 to mother Maureen (Mooney) MacDonald. Marie moved to the United States in 1964, where she and her husband planted their roots. After dedicating herself to raising her children and putting them through school, she pursued a career as a Pharmacy Technician at the Kmart on East Washington Street. Her dedication and passion for her family and profession were evident to all who knew her. Marie is preceded in death by her mother Maureen MacDonald and sister Maureen Balint. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Haithcoat. Children: Angela (Haithcoat) Hewitt, Donna Haithcoat, and Tommy Haithcoat (Amy). Grandchildren: Kaitlyn Roberts (Cody), Ian and Abby Haithcoat, as well as nieces/nephews and many, many friends. Marie will be remembered for her dancing, singing and the way that she always honored her Scottish heritage. We couldn’t have asked for a better mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Everyone who knew her will miss Marie every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1PM to 3PM at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219. A service is to follow.
