Marilyn Braun

Marilyn Ann (Wallace) Gault Braun, Indianapolis, 72, passed away November 24, 2018 at her home. She was born September 12, 1946 in Lansing, MI to the late Charles “Whitey” and Eileen (Kempainen) Wallace. She is also preceded in death by her infant son, Jacob Braun; sister, Marlene Wilhelm, and nephew Scott Alexander. Marilyn was a member of St. Pius X where she volunteered at the school. She also volunteered at Washington Township Schools and Community Hospital North. Marilyn earned her BA in Education at Ball State in 1972 and later her BS in Engineering at Purdue in 1984 where she would meet and date her future husband, Mark who heard wedding bells the first time they kissed. She worked as a teacher in Michigan and Indiana before working at General Motors until retiring in 1998 due to illness. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Mark Braun; children, Christine Nation (John), Benjamin Gault, James Braun, and David Braun; grandchildren, Alex and Garret Nolley, Claire Nation, Chloe Cobb, and Justin, Kelsey, and Jacob Gault; sister, Karen Placek; brother, Dennis Wallace; former husband, Raymond Gault; and many extended family members and friends. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday November 29 at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46220 and after 9:00 am Friday, November 30 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Dr., Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Friday at the church with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
