ADD A MEMORY
VICKIE YOUNG

March 12, 2019

Marilyn was a fantastic "young" lady. We would always joke with each other about how long we were going to work. Just two days before she passed I asked this "young" lady if she was still kickin' as I always did. Then two days later...I found out she kicked so hard she was flying high! What a joy to be with the angels!! For that "young" lady was an angel herself! I pray that you find comfort in the memories she left behind until we see her again!

Grandma's House

There is a road we all must travel,
As we go through our life's journey.
Some take the plain and open way;
Others, a narrow mountain valley.

A wisened youth heeds his elders.
A hardened heart has cold shoulders.
An aged one remembers his mother.
How giving that grand ole lady was!

Oh hearer, will you take the open way?
I tell you, there is another road, today:
Over the river and through the woods.
Leave well alone that broad and bright avenue!
Seek out the hidden alley atop the hill.

That is where her house, my home, was found:
Above the waverly ways of the world outside,
An anchor to stay my mind still in the storm.
I believe I will see her on God's rivershore!

Though your life may be failing all around,
You are welcomed with love there anyhow.
Behold how a child longs to be held!
In the arms of the Father is where a child belongs.
