

Marjorie was born in Fremont, Michigan on September 23, 1924 to Henry and Viola DeWitte. She graduated from Fremont High School, Fremont, Michigan and eventually moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. While working at Eli Lilly & Co. in the 1940’s she met the love of her life Forest Richard (Dick) Robertson. They were married from June,1947 till Dick’s death in February, 2004 (56 years 8 months).
Marjorie worked in Indianapolis while Dick obtained a pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 1950. Marjorie and Dick welcomed three children in the early 1950s: Debbie, Rick, and Beth. Caryl joined the other siblings in the 1960s. Marjorie was a very devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, music, playing cards and old movies.
She will be missed by her children, Debbie (Tom) Rykovich, Mishawaka, IN; Rick (Carroll) Robertson, Monticello, IN; Beth (Bill) Lynn, Venice, FL; Caryl (Bryan) Anderson, Carmel, IN; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Viola; brother, Bill; husband Dick.
Funeral Service will be Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2pm. Visitation from 1-2 prior to the service. Services will be held at the Gothic Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery W 38th St., Indianapolis, IN. Please access the 34th Street and Boulevard Place cemetery entrance. When entering the cemetery gates, please continue to drive straight ahead and you will make it directly to the front of the Gothic Chapel doors.
