Mr. Mark Eugene Earley, age 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at home on Sunday, March 6, 2022 with family by his side. He was born June 6, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Samuel and Dorothy (Caylor) Earley. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Beaty; wife, Marilyn (Moore) Earley; and sister, Norma Hoffman.
Mark was a 1957 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School where he was awarded a Vocational Certificate in Welding and Forging. He was a skilled steamfitter/pipefitter and was a very proud member of the UA Local 440 for over 50 years. He worked for JJ Cotton, Goodson, Rand Air, and BMWC. Mark was an active member of the Murat Mini Cycle Club and participated in parades with his friends. He enjoyed traveling, loved Key West, Florida (the home of his favorite musician, Jimmy Buffett). He loved golfing and taking care of his many dogs. He was a dog lover.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Sherri Gibbs, Juli Miller, and Tammi High; sisters, Jackie Wells and Cynthia James; brothers, Sam Earley and Tim Earley; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-sons, Eric Sweanngen and Brian Sweanngen; and 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering for Mark will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gothic Chapel at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM. (Follow the white line)
