Mark Alan Laue, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away on 12/23/2025 in Indianapolis.

Mark, affectionately known as “Bubba” to his family and friends, was born to Robert “Bud” Laue and LaVerne Laue on 06/04/1955. Mark grew up as the middle child along with his older sister Susan Gregg and younger sister Julie Fuelberth in Speedway, IN. Mark graduated from Speedway High School and attended Ball State University. As a student he participated in local sports including football. He worked as an engineer and project manager for Praxair Surface Technologies in Speedway, IN for over 40 years.

In his work with Praxair, Mark was able to travel the country and world training and befriending several colleagues, as well as enjoying several cultures and cuisines. Mark also worked as a bartender with MBP Catering working many local events like the Indiana Yule Tide Celebration. Mark, along with his friend and former spouse Janice Wayner, was the parent of 3 children Eric Laue, Jacob Laue and Shelby Klouthan.

Mark was a caring and loving father that was active in their lives and activities. Mark encouraged and fostered a love of music and sports with his children. Mark assisted with local youth sports, scouting, and band in Decatur Township. Mark would also volunteer as a Santa for local events in Decatur Township. Mark in his leisure time enjoyed golfing, drones, planes, home projects, woodworking, watching auto racing, football, and traveling to visit family and friends throughout the country.

Mark is preceded in death by parents Robert Laue and LaVerne Laue, and his son Eric Jordan Laue.

Mark is survived by his son Jacob Alan Laue, daughter Shelby Marie Klouthan, and sisters Susan Gregg and Julie Fuelberth.

Funeral Services will be privately held at Crown Hill.

The family of Mark Laue wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Brooke Knoll Village in Avon and the staff of IU Methodist Hospital in assistance in his care.
