Marvin Stowe Jr.

Marvin Jr. was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Marvin Stowe Sr. and Judith A. Overton. Marvin went to school in Indianapolis, Indiana. Marvin worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler for many years.

Marvin Jr. is preceded in death by his father Marvin Stowe Sr., son Dayeon T. Johnson Sr., maternal grandmother Fracis L. Clayton, paternal grandmother Cozetta Warfield, and nephew Rak’em S. Overton.

Marvin Jr. is survived by three children, Dayton A. Stowe (daughter), Jaiden S. Stowe (son), and Ja’Mari D. Stowe (son). Three siblings Toby (Deanna) Overton, Kimberly (Eric) Edmonds, and LaShea Morton. Mother Judith A. Overton, grandson Dayeon T. Johnson Jr., one Uncle Mark (Sheila) Clayton, two aunties Wendy Williams-Rucker, and Laurine Hillman. Three nieces Keny’a (Darwin) Jones, DeAsia (Tremell) Velez, and Carlisa Overton. Three nephews Donnell R. Overton, DeAnthony L. Overton, and Mal’ek J. Gunn. Girlfriend Stazia Jefferson.

Marvin Jr. also leaves to cherish his memories a host of cousins, great-nieces and nephews, friends, and plenty of others that he has met along his journey.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on April 25, 2025, at Crown Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Bryant of Westside Missionary Church, officiating. Memorial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral and Cemetery.
