Mary Alice Dorsey

Ms. Mary Alice Dorsey, 92 of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015. She was employed as a Nurse at several hospitals before retiring. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church., where she was a member and former President to the Usher Board, Choir, Program Coordinator and worked in various leadership positions at the church. She was preceded in death by children, James Jones, Delores Anderson, and Cheryl Watt, siblings, Walter Dorsey Jr, James Dorsey, Charles Dorsey and Marjorie Hibbitt.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Rodney V. Jones, Darryl Jones (Pamela), Rodney Jones, daughters, Mary E. Jeffries (Lawrence), Sheila Smith (Joe), Livia Linton (Anthony), sisters, Henrietta Dorsey, Helen Wilson, Wilma Ledell, Norma Southern, Esther Moore, daughter in law, Jeanette Jones, caregiver, Dionna Hill, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Her visitation will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015, 10am- 12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. Her entombment will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
