Mary C. Lemieux

Mary Cornelia Lemieux, 96, of Indianapolis, passed away November 5, 2025. Mary was born November 2, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late William and Margaret (Garvey) Vollmer. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1947. Mary retired from Indiana Bell. During her retirement she served 12 years as a doorkeeper for the Senate side of the Indiana Legislature. Mary volunteered for many organizations including St. Vincent de Paul and Community East for 35 years. She was an active member of Holy Spirit Parish.

Mary is survived by her children, William C. Lemieux and Charlotte A. Lemieux; grandchildren, Amber Dawn (husband, Sam) Fox, Joshua Charles Lemieux, Jonathan Donald Lemieux and Samara Marie (husband, Christian Eric Hess) Shackelton; great grandchildren, Jacob Fox, Rachel Fox, Sarah Fox and Ayva Jade Lemieux. Mary is preceded in passing by her husband, John M. Lemieux; and her parents, William and Margaret Vollmer.

A visitation for Mary will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Feeney Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46219. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Mary will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
