Mary Beatrice Richardson

Mary was born in Indianapolis, In, to Roland Augusta Prudeaux and Hattie Irene Franklin Prudeaux on August 4, 1945. She married and later divorced Charles Richardson and had one child, Dennis Lee Richardson Sr. She graduated from Shortridge High School in 1963. She retired from the Vehicle Maintenance Facility with the United States Postal Service after 35 years (2001). She later joined Marten Transport, LTD as a receptionist and retired after 5 years (2010).

Mary gave her life to Christ at an early age at the First Baptist Church of North Indianapolis. The Pastor was Rev. F.F. Young. She enjoyed traveling and soaking up every adventure she could. She also enjoyed watching football games and trips to the casino.

Mary is preceded in death by Roland and Hattie Prudeaux and Dennis L. Richardson Sr.

Mary is survived by Grandchildren, Denetra Richardson and Dennis (Natalia) Richardson Jr, Greatgrandchildren, Quantarius, Jacoby and Damari Richardson, Daughter In-Law(s), Donna Battle-Richardson and Tracie Hurd-Richardson (Divorced).

Visitation will be January 3, 2026, 10-12pm at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral services will begin directly after visitation with Pastor Regina Jordan of Total Praise and Worship Center, officiating. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral Home.
