Mauri Gene Young

Mauri was born in Indianapolis to Maurice Young and Garnet Henson Young on February 1, 1950. In his early adult life, he enjoyed Karate, ultimately earning a Black Belt. He married his beloved wife Debra in May of 1985 and were happily married almost 40 years. Mauri spent the majority of his life owning and managing construction related and other businesses culminating in his final success with Community Development Incorporated for which he received the coveted 2-10 Diamond Builder Award. Mauri enjoyed carpentry, the outdoors, sports cars and supporting his family.

Mauri is preceded in death by his father Maurice T Young and brother Mark Young.

Mauri is survived by his loving wife, Debra, who will forever cherish his memory and his Mother Garnet Young. He leaves behind his children, Clifton Young, Emily Young, Chad Young and Keri Young; and 2 grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 10:30 am until 12:00 Noon at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237, with a Service immediately following at 12:00 Noon. Private burial to be at Park Cemetery.
