

66 – Plainfield, passed away peacefully, and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, July 18, 2014.
He proudly served as a medic in the US Army in the Vietnam War receiving the distinguished medals of combat, medical badge air medal, and purple heart. He was a member of the Bible Study Chapel and taught the adult Sunday school class.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Melvin E. Mahurin and sister, Kathleen Poole. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 25 years, Debbie (Wilson) Mahurin; mom, Millie Mahurin; siblings, Mark Mahurin (Bonnie), Faith E. Chapman (Winston), Karen Westermann, Grace Labens (Greg), Jerry Foster (Jan); as well as Mary Robertson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Special thanks to all of the staff of the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, for the loving care and support they have provided.
A Celebration of his life, which was well lived and touched many, will be Sunday, July 27th with visitation starting at 2:00PM and the service at 3:00PM at Bible Study Chapel, 2368 Spencer Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana.
