Michael was a truck driver for many years before medically retiring.
Michael is survived by his wife: Christine Akers, parents: Gerald Lee and Judy Ann Akers, step-sons: Jeremy (Sara) Montgomery and Paul Montgomery, sister: Angela (Roger) Gold, brother: Rodney Akers and nieces: Ashley Henke, Kaylee Akers, Cierra (Jeffrey) Wright, nephews: Shayne Akers, Zachery Gold, great nieces Shayla and Aubrey and great nephews Gaven and Samuel. . He is preceded in death by a step-son: Michael Montgomery.
