Michael Gene Hayes

Michael Gene Hayes, 66, of Brownsburg passed away December 3, 2020. Michael was born in Indianapolis the son of the late Richard and Frieda (Abram) Hayes. He was a Tool & Die Maker and was a gun enthusiast and loved to tinker and make things. Michael was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Hayes.

Michael is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Kinley) Hayes; children, Jan Hayes Phillips and her husband Mark, James Hayes and his wife Kelly, Becky Tarin and her husband Alex and Emily Hayes; his grandchildren, Morgan, Austin, Elliott, Jenna, Olivia, Zachary and Aaden; great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Orin; and his sister, Diana Stewart and her husband Rick.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020 at Crosspointe Baptist Church, 220 Country Club Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46234. Visitation for Michael will be from 12:00 until the service time at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.

Memorial contributions in memory of Michael can be made to the Joseph Floyd Scholarship Fund at Crosspointe Christian Academy.
