Millard Rakes

Millard Rakes, 75, of Indianapolis passed away August 29, 2020. He was born July 2, 1945 in Logan, West Virginia to the late Alfred and Dorthey Williams Rakes. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister, Bonnie White; brother Gary Rakes; son James Edward Rakes and his granddaughter, Kayla Keith. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Rakes; sons, David Rakes, Jerry (Jamie) Rakes both of Indianapolis; daughter, Lisa Marie Rakes of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Lydia Keith and stepson, Kenny Keith both of Indianapolis; 12 grandkids; 11 great-grandkids; brothers, Terry, Garland, Don, Darrell, Dallas, Danny (Susie), and Billy Rakes all of Indianapolis; sisters, Jean (Glen) Maggard, Charolotte Webber, Sandra Gallet and Phyliss (Doug) Martin all of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. He worked for 30 years as a layout man for Pentek and Systec Conveyors retiring in 2011.

A Celebration of Millard's life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 617 S. Norfolk St., Indianapolis, IN 46241
