

John C. Brown 87, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully March 23, at his residence. John was the proprietor of John's Spirits and Fine Wines in Downtown Indianapolis and Greenwood, Indiana. He was also formerly employed as executive vice president of Danners Inc. for 43 years. He was a veteran of Pattons Third Army; during WWII "Battle of Bulge". John was a proud American who loved his country, had many friends from all aspects of life, and never knew a stranger. John served as a board member of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Horse Patrol. John enjoyed golfing, auto racing, all team sports, and spending weekends at his Nyona Lake cottage. John was a member of the Columbia Club, Halfway Lodge No. 298, F.&A.M., Murat Shrine of Indiana, Scottish Rite (Valley of Indianapolis), Antelope Club, the American Legion Post #79 & 36, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Yankee Division Veterans Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States 9 (Life Member), and the Rochester Elks Lodge. John was born April 4, 2012 in Tipton County, Indiana. John is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Nancy, daughters Kay (Bill) Micheli, Cynthia (Jeff) Smith, stepsons Burns (Nathan) Gutzwiller, and James (LeAnn) Gutzwiller. Also surviving are six grandchildren and one great-grand son.
