Carl B. Burnside, Indianapolis, died on January 5, 2010. He was a native of Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1940 with a Masters Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He was a former manager of Packaging Development at Eli Lilly and Company for 39 years. He served as chairman of the Drug and Pharmaceutical Committee of the Packaging Institute as well as serving as a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Burnside was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, the Indianapolis Jazz Club and the Indiana Transportation Museum. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, daughters Sally and Jane, son Robert, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday January 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Northminister Presbyterian Church with calling from 12:30 PM. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church, Indiana Transportation Museum, ARC of Indiana or to the donor's favorite charity.
