86, Shelbyville, died January 27, 2009. Mr. Carmony was born October 12, 1922 in Rush Co. Indiana. He was former owner of Carmony Funeral Homes in Shelbyville retiring in 1980. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and past President of the International Order of the Golden Rule, an association of Funeral Home Owners. He served in the US Army Air Corps in WWII as a Second Lt. with the 8th Air Force. He was a B-24 Pilot in the European Theatre credited with 13 missions. He is survived by sons: David A. (Mary Anne), Thom D. (Vicki) and Robert W. (Robin) Carmony; brother, Wayne H. (Marjorie) Carmony, 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and special friend Maxine Adams. Services: 12:00 pm Saturday January 31, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville with visitation after 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, IN.
