

Following a brief battle with lung cancer, M.C. Cooley, 69 went on to be on with our Lord and Savior on March 11, 2010. M.C. was born on January 9 in Money, Mississippi to Rosie B. and Willie Cooley. He grew up in Anderson, Indiana and lived there until 1968 when he and his family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. M.C. graduated from Anderson High School and began working at Delco Remy soon after that.
He Retired from Delco in July of 1998. M.C. had various roles and titles while working. Most recently he was active with the UAW retirees for local 662 where he served as a trustee. He enjoyed bowling with a league on Monday nights, which he had done for years.
M.C. met his wife in 1962 and they were married June 1, 1963 and to this union two daughters were born. M.C. was a kind, caring loving man. Please ask Alexzandria how nice his massages were to receive.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Eleanor R. Cooley; mother, Rosie B. Cooley; Father, Willie Cooley; Brothers, Larry, L.C., and Joseph Cooley.
He leaves to cherish his life: Two daughters, Jacqueline (Marcus) Stowe and Marsha (Charles) Nash, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren, Montrice (Trice) and Mareda (ReRe) Cooley, Alexzandria (Janai) Stowe. A great grandchild, Marshawn E. Cooley all of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother/sisters and in laws Willie(Joretha) Cooley, Theresia Taylor, Carolyn Cooley, Amos(Becky) Cooley, Johnny (Pearlie) Cooley, Elder Dewayne (Jeannette) Cooley, Aaron (Gwen Anderson) Cooley, Bernita (Bill) Hoosier, Sandra (Dennis) Long, Janis (Bobby Jo) Wilson all of Anderson, Indiana. Ada Suggs of Hookerton, North Carolina; Helen Jones of Raleigh, North Carolina; Margie Dawson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Evelyn Wells of Bronx, New York; An "adopted" family Van Buren, Renita, Valesha and Brittany Hooper of St. Louis, Missouri; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be missed dearly.
