Virgil L. "Hamp" Hampton, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. He retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local 685. He was also a member of Southern Cross #39, American Legion Post 249, was a 32° Prince Hall Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Gray) Hampton and his parents.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Hampton and Kristina Dulin (Damon); brothers, Roy Hampton and Bennie Hampton (Sharon); and two grandchildren, Nia and Miles.
