Our journey through life shows us many different paths of joy and heartache.  These past six years he has showed us how to live life with strength, determination and courage as he traveled the most difficult journey of his life.  I will dearly miss those phone calls, hearing on the other end, "hey kid whatcha doing" and then hearing those rib hurting jokes he would start telling.  Sweet dreams Uncle Dick, I will forever Love you.

You can shed tears that he is gone,
or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. 

You can remember him and only that he is gone,
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn back, or you can do what he would want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Uncle Dick, your beautiful smile, your crazy wonderful jokes, you will be our guardian angel from above. I miss you and I'll always love you.

I first met Dick almost 30 years ago, one of the first things I noticed and reconized about " Big Dick " Thomason immediately, he was a strong, kind, gentle, respectful, man; who really love his wife Lynda, his kids. 

Dick loved his job and the people he worked with. And we loved him. He was certainly one of the conerstones within the Safety & Security Dept..

I personally want to thank Lynda, kids, grand kids, and the rest of the Thomason family for sharing Dick with us for so many years. It has been my personal honor and pleasure to have known Richard Dick Thomason personally and  professionally. God Bless all family & friends. 

You are in my prayers " Big D " and will always be rembered.

Aunt Lynda, Michael and Kim,these past 6 years you have continued to give Uncle Dick the greatest gift one could ever give, your devotion and love.  He gained his strength through your love and compassion.

Colin and Jackson, always know that even in his worst moments, all the two of you needed to do was walk in to the room and your Papa's eyes would shine so bright and his bad day became the greatest day.  God Bless.

Uncle Dick from my favorite uncle, babysitter and always a friend you were the best, and always will be.  From all the good times we shared whether it be playing cards, bowling or going to the movies together.  These memories I will always cherish the most.  You will be missed dearly.  Thanks for the wonderful memories.

I looked forward to seeing Dick on duty at Methodist because he had such a keen wit.  He always made me laugh.  I left there almost 5 yrs ago but I still remember him fondly.  My sympathy to his family. May he rest in peace now.

Linda and family,  I wanted to let you know how sorry I was to hear of Dick's passing. I remember Dick well from his days here in Security at Methodist. I know he had your love, care and devotion during his life and time of illness. I am remembering you in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
