Patricia Rice Cameron was born March 17, 1927 to Emmett and Lillie Rice. She graduated from Shortridge High School and from Northwestern University. She received her MS degree from Butler University. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. In 1989 she retired from her 25 year teaching position for I. P. S. She enjoyed playing the piano, going to movies, water aerobics, playing Bridge with her many friends and spending time with family. Patricia passed way on January 9, 2009. Her husband M. W. Rod Cameron, her son Joseph McArdle and her Brother Emmett Rice preceded her in death. Her survivors include daughters Megan Stevenson, Bridget McKinney, Deirdre Fendricks and son Patrick McArdle, step-daughters Teresa Loveall, Tracy McGoodwin, and step-son James Cameron, along with fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday January 24, 2009 at 12:00 pm in the Gothic Chapel of Crown Hill Cemetery where friends may call one hour prior to services. Inurnment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Final arrangements and care entrusted to Crown Hill Funeral Home.
