Mrs. Alice Cohen

Alice Emhardt Stahl Cohen passed away on Friday, August 28th, 2009. She is survived by her brother, C. David Emhardt, and his wife Ann of Indianapolis, and two children, Kurt Stahl of San Antonio Texas and Ellen Minnig of Denver, Colorado. She is survived by five grandchildren and one expected soon. Alice was the daughter of Dr. John W. Emhardt and Martha MacDougall Emhardt. Alice was an avid musician and a member of the Indianapolis Symphony Choir and Second Presbyterian Church choir. Alice was a graduate from Ottawa University, Butler University, and Indiana University. She taught chemistry in various high schools and worked as a chemist for the State of Indiana. Alice also took part in numerous missionary projects throughout the world, including projects in Egypt and Honduras. Her vital interest in helping others and talent in music brightened the world around her. The services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Second Presbyterian's Milner Chapel. The viewing will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services at 1:00pm. The burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
