

Judy, as she was known, was loved by all who knew her. She received her education in the Indianapolis Public School System. Judy had numerous jobs during her lifetime, namely, Lane Bryant, U.S. Postal Service, and retired from The Gage Company. After retiring she worked for the Washington Township School System.
Judy was united in Holy Matrimony to, James W. Jackson on November 16th, 1963. She was a loving and caring mother of three children. Her heart and home was always open to all who were in need. Judy was an avid college basketball fan, loved to travel statewide, as well as internationally, loved preparing Sunday Dinner for whoever wanted to come by. She enjoyed giving of herself, especially to family members.
Judy leaves, to cherish her loving memory, her husband of 50 years, James W. Jackson, sons Rodney (Michelle) and James Kevin Jackson; daughter, Karen Sue Sawyer; grandchildren, Anthony (Nicole) Neal, Rodney and Quentin Jackson, Arika, Chelsea, and Christen. Great grandchildren, Ty’Ere and Alayah Neal, and Jamir, Rodney and Ryland Jackson, Kevin and Kaiden Elmore; brothers Donald (Leora) Shores and Michael and Anthony Shores; sisters, Gwendolyn Johnson and Joyce Sanders, and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. A special thanks goes to her brother Anthony, who was her CONSTANT CHAMPION AND CAREGVIER.
Judy was preceded in death by brothers, William, Ralph, Stephen, and Larry Shores. Sisters Joanne Elliott, Carol Jean Lindsay and Sandra Kay Cooper.
