Mrs. Mary E. Langford

Mary Elizabeth Langford, the baby daughter of five children born to William Wayne and Hattie Martin Vaden, she was born on February 17, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mary received her education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Christ Missionary Baptist Church. Mary was joined in Holy Matrimony to Willie Langford. Mary and Willie together created a thriving business, the W.L. Window Cleaning Service working side by side for many years. Mary was and independent, active, free spirited woman always on the move, she never allowed grass to grow under her feet. She had a feisty personality. Mary loved to shop you were subject to see here everywhere.Mary loved to go out and eat, she loved MCL….a good home cooked taste. She really loved family gatherings. Mary never met a stranger, when you met Mary, her love was radiant. Mary Elizabeth Langford departed this life December 8, 2016 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Willie Langford and 3 brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Darlene Johnson, son Garry Martin; grandchildren, Sean McBride and Ruby Davis; 4 great grandchildren; beloved sister Juanita McDonald; special nephews, Nick, Reginald, Brice and John Owens; special niece, Renee Crowe; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The visitation is Saturday, December 17, 2016, 10am - 11am, with the service at 11am in Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home.
