Mrs. Joanne Buckner Scott 74, Franklin, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday December 5, 2009. Visitation will be Saturday, December 12, 2009 in The Peace Chapel of The Community Mausoleum of Crown Hill Cemetery from 11 a.m. with services following at 1 p.m. She was a member of Bethel AME Church, Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Dorothy Buckner; two sisters and a brother. Joanne was a 1952 graduate of Crispus Attucks High School and retired from the Department of the Army in 1990. She is survived by her husband, James Robert Scott; sister, Marva (Norman) White; brothers, Cecil Jr. (Vivian), Norman (Carolyn), Gerald Delores, Raymond (Valarie), Richard and John Buckner; 14 nieces and nephews.
