Dorothy Ann Wilcox Shannon, 81, died April 12, 2010 in Anderson, Indiana. Dorothy was the daughter of Thomas L. Wilcox, Sr. and Jeannette (Phares) Wilcox, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School and attended Butler and Indiana University. Dorothy was an employee of Eli Lilly. She married Kenneth J. Shannon October 1, 1955.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughters Paula J. (Curt) Shannon-Young, Deborah S. (Elmer) Borders, three grandsons, Blake Borders, Teigen and Grady Young, and three loving nieces. She was also preceded in death by her brother Thomas Wilcox and sister-in-law Mary Lou (Matzke) Wilcox, and her niece Rebecca Wilcox.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 17, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Crown Hill Gothic Chapel with calling from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Arrangements entrusted to Crown Hill Funeral Home. Inurnment Field of Valor, Crown Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society or donor's choice.
