Mrs. Tishia M. Carter, 102, transitioned from labor to reward on April 27, 2016.Mrs. Carter had been a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church where she previously served as a Pastor's aide and a Choir Member. She also retired as a Cook from the Art Institute.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Taylor and Georgia White Taylor; daughter, Bertha Porter; siblings, Charles Taylor,Mildred Gates, Edward Taylor, Robert Taylor, Jack Willis Taylor, Addie Liddell, Margaret Taylor, Ethel Reed preceded her in death.She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Anna E. Robinson;sister, Lucille Thornton,10 grandchildren and a host of great and great great grandchildren.The visitation is Saturday, May 7, 2016, 10am - 12pm, with the homegoing celebration at 12pm in Metropolitan Baptist Church. The interment will immediately follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
