Ms. Lorraine L. Orr

Lorraine Lori Ke'alaonapua Loretta Dody Kauwe Medina Cortez Orr An Indianapolis resident since Christmas Day of 1969 died Sunday September 21, 2008. She was born March 14, 1939 in Pahala Big Island Hawaii the daughter of Basilio and Juliet Medina Cortez. She was a graduate of Hilo High School, Kaimuki High School, Honolulu Beauty College and the Indianapolis Floral Design School. She worked in public relations for Dole Cannery, Palace Ballroom, The Orchid, Golden Nugget Casino, Knobby's Mai Tai, and the Golden Phoenix. She was president of the Hawaiian Islanders of Indiana, and a member of Kau inoa, and OHA. Survivors include life long companion Ralph Charles Smith, her children Kapuaimiliaonani Belorie, Puananinenehiwa Dena, Imiloaikamea'i'omakamae Michael; Hanai Children, Irl Butch, William Billy, Debbie, Vincent; Grandchildren, Bobby Ali'I, Krystal Kuaka, Selena Leilani; Hanai Grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Kristy, Lindsey, Brenda, Taylor Billy Jr., Tiffany, Josh, Zack; Siblings, Linda, Rudolph Rudy, Jannet, Catalino, Barbara Jean Kiki, Benny, Cynthia Joyce, Pete Jr., Teresita, Eleanor, Ernesto, Flor, Fely Mae, Epepania Efie.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 27, 2008, Crown Hill Gothic Chapel, 700 West 38th Street Indianapolis, Indiana. Memorial Calling is from 12:30-2:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2008.
