Passed away on May 31, 2013 at Community Howard Regional Hospital.
Myra L. Swygert was born on December 10, 1943 the daughter of Jack L. A. Woodard and Elvenar Thrasher Woodard in Parma, Missouri. She was a retired, machine operator from Chrysler Corporation. She was a member of Straitgate Total Needs Ministry and the UAW Local 685.
Her parents, 1 son, Phillip Anthony Swygert, 4 brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Alexander Swygert, son, Kevin A. Swygert (Rayneasha Marsh), daughters, Regina A. Mills, adopted daughter, Velma Clark-Stitts (Ty), brother, Charlie Woodard, sister, Mary Lou Martin, 3 sister-in-laws, Charlene Sheffield, Mary Woodard, Margaret R. Smith, brother-in-law, Roosevelt Swygert (Jean), grandchildren, Monisha, Marc, Nichelle, Tyler, Jewell, Jayde Swygert, Shynice Collins, Tyeasha Oaks, Kyle Oaks, O’Marion Clark, O’London Stitts and 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013, 12 Noon at Straitgate Total Needs Ministry, 312 East North Street. Pastor Jack L. Woodard will be the officiant & eulogist. Friends may call on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 10 A.M. at the church. Burial in Crown Point Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Bluitt & Son Funeral Home.
