Nancy Diane Bembry

Nancy Diane Gordy Bembry was welcomed to her Heavenly home at the age of 70, on November 8, 2022, by her parents Herman and Hildred Gordy, her daughter Verona Patton and her stepdaughter Robin Bembry who proceeded her in death.

in 1968, Nancy Gordy and Jesse Patton became proud parents of Verona. Two years later Nancy graduated with honors from Short Ridge High School. Upon graduation Nancy had started a career with the U.S. Postal Service where she later encountered and married Douglas Bembry, "Joe".

Nancy worked at the Post Office until she retired, after almost 40 years.

Nancy enjoyed dressing, shopping, her jewelry, taking cruises, being on her bowling leagues, traveling and being family oriented. She had a heart pure as gold and always kept a pretty smile. Nancy was an active and faithful member of Immanuel Presbyterian church until her health began to fail.

Nancy remained connected to her childhood friends for well over 65 years with Anita Tate Hudson, and Janice Collins.

After a battle with MS for over 40 years, she is now free of pain.

Left to cherish her memories as she departed her life on Nov. 8 2022, is her daughter Kristal Patton (Anthony), step sons: Rodney, Ryan and Robert Bembry, brother: Herman Gordy Jr. (Alicia), Brother and Sister in law, Calvin and Kathy Bembry, grandkids: Dathan Emerson Jr., DeAsia Gray and Dashae Patton, two great grandchildren: Chaily Gray and Diore Emerson, two nieces: Marcy and Monique Gordy, two aunts: Mildred Parrott and Ella M. Clark, Jackie Elderidge, a cousin whom she thought of as a sister, and a host of family, friends and Caregivers.
