Nanette "Nan" Heady Jarrett

Nan was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1947 to Charles and Virginia Heady. Nan attended Speedway High School (class of 1965) before going to Purdue University to earn her bachelor’s degree and IUPUI to earn her master’s degree in education.

Nan was an educator and retired in 2007 after a combined 30 years of teaching language arts and Spanish at Plainfield High School (Plainfield, IN), Rebault Junior High School (Jacksonville, FL) and Guion Creek Middle School (Indianapolis, IN).

Nan is survived by her sons Tim (Sandy) Meyer and Matt (Christy) Meyer, as well as by her two grandchildren Hannah Hitzeman and Allyson Meyer.

Nan is also survived by her brothers Charles (Pam) Heady, and Thomas (Lisa) Heady; niece and nephews Julianne (Josiah) Heskett, Zachary Heady, Joseph Heady, Lauren (Alex) Higginbotham, Ashley Heady, Benjamin Heady, Linda Kitterman, Trisha (Aaron) Hogland, Lisa Lowe; and Chelsea, her faithful feline companion.

Nan was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Virginia Heady.

Her urn will be placed with them in the Field of Valor at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
