To Nick's Family: Our deepest condolences to you all. Unfortunately, we know the pain you feel. Nick and Scott were close and we last saw Nick at Scott's funeral service. He was so sweet to come and give his respects. They were good friends for so many years. Maybe they are together again. With our sympathy, David and Lynda Cook

Nick was great. My Pepperdine life needed him. His door was always open and while we didnt hang out often, when we did it always turned into a long talk over drinks looking at stars. He always indulged me my bad days and made them better.

I have many great memories of Nick but one of my favorites is an example of how big his heart was. He knew he was going to be out of town on my birthday one year so he left me flowers and paid the bill at one of our favorite hang outs. He was so special and will be so missed!!

It’s seems like forever ♾ ago, we went to high school together. I do remember that you were always the fun guy that everybody wanted to hang around. I can’t forget that brown hair with a part down the middle! I know that you are in Gods Hands now. ❤️💕🙏🏾 Thank you for letting me share. RIH.

My favorite memory of Nick is when we were young. It was 1985, the year Goonies made its premier debut at the theater, when his family and I spent the entire day together. We started with an afternoon at the theater and lunch. Little did we know, we were about to embark on our own Goonie adventure at Dietz Lake! His Mother, my Aunt, decided she would like to explore the trails. So, off we all went to see what adventures were to be found. The trip started off like any other trails at the lake; all we had to do was stick to the path! But what would a Goonie adventure be if we stuck to the path? The decision was made to divert from the safety of the trails that had already been forged; probably by Fed Dietz himself. We were collecting items from nature and looking at the wildlife that the surrounding area provided. It was beautiful. When all of the sudden, we couldn’t find Nick! Now, if you know anything about Nick, he had a mind of his own. He had wondered way off the path. His mother began to worry. With me being the oldest of the cousins I was tasked with running ahead to help locate him. Eventually, he was found, down a steep hill next to a swamp of water with a field of cows and a gigantic BULL. At that time in my life, that bull had the largest horns I had ever seen and it was standing directly on the other side of that water looking right at us. I was a bit frightened realizing how close we actual were to a bull! Little did we know, we were now lost! I am sure we had wondered so far that we were no longer on Dietz Lake property. It took us hours to find our way back to the clubhouse, after walking through bug infested water and who knows what kind of microbial animals or deadly flesh eating bacteria! My mom was beginning to worry and Grandma Bogle was about to send a team of people to come find us. Needless to say, in my mind, that was the day I truly believe Nick decided that germs were not his friend. I love you Nick and I will miss our Gonnie adventures!
