

Norma Lou (Sibrel) Kendall passed peacefully on May 17th at Community Hospital North surrounded by family. She was born on April 2, 1930, to Marion and Mabel (Toole) Sibrel in Chrisney IN, and graduated from Chrisney High School in 1947. Norma met and married Omar Floyd Kendall Jr., the following year.
Norma was a lifetime supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars as a leader in the Ladies Auxiliary, demonstrating her patriotism through service dedication. She was an avid sports fan, cheering on grandchildren, IU, Colts, Pacers, and motor sports. She was also a crossword and puzzle enthusiast. Together Norma and Omar raised 6 children, keeping family a priority throughout their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar, and daughters Nancy Hunter and Joy Bragdon (Neil). Norma is survived by Larry Kendall, Shirley Snow (Dan), Mary Webb (Tim), Teresa Macri (Joel) and 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. A private inurnment service will be held Monday, June 1st, at Crown Hill Funeral Home – Community Mausoleum. A Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
