His father later moved his family to Indianapolis, Indiana. He became a member of Rev. Cecil Hall. While in Tennessee, he was a member of Cole Chapel C.M.E Church under the late Rev. Cole
Otis departed this life on June 23, 2021, at age of 72 years. He worked many years as a manager/custodian.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory 1 son Nick, sister Ann Mullins, aunts Bobbie J. Teague, Mary Mullins, Mary Eves, and host of cousins and friends.
