83, passed away peacefully to her eternal life on Feb. 12, 2015. Patrice was born in Indianapolis on Jan. 13, 1932, the third child of six siblings to the late Joseph and Mary Sexton. She grew up on the eastside of Indianapolis and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and School. After graduating from St. Agnes Academy, she attended Purdue University, graduating in Pharmacy, and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. After several years working at Eli Lilly Co. she pursued her second profession as a teacher of the deaf. She taught at the Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis until she retired. Her love of children directed her to St. Pius X Catholic School of Indianapolis. She was known as the Story Teller Lady for the second grade for many years. This was a volunteer activity that she dearly loved. Patrice was always known for her tireless devotion to her faith, family and many friends. She was loved by her siblings, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also found time to volunteer at Fatima Retreat House, St. Augustine Home for the Aged, The Guardian Angel Guild and with parish members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She always brought lots of laughter to the Red Hat ladies of which she was a member. They loved to tease her about her red hat with the very long feather.
Patrice is survived and will be greatly missed by her sisters, Mary Catherine Meier and Dorothy Butcher (Robert), her sisters-in-law Marlyne Sexton and Judy Sexton, her nieces and nephews, John Leemhuis (Bet), Tom Leemhuis (Mary), Mary Ellen Chris (Kevin), Kathryn Arnold, Karen Carter (Bruce), Robert Butcher, Kay Sexton, Kevin Sexton, Mary Colleen Liphard, Eileen Jembrysek, Marilyn Lonbard, Linda Meshek, Carol McFarland, Mike Meier, and Bob Meier.

Visitation will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on February 17 at 10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm. Following Mass a Peace Meal at St. Pius X will be held for all family and friends. Internment will occur at Our Lady of Peace cemetery following the Peace Meal. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Augustine Home for the Aged, Fatima Retreat House or St. Pius X Catholic Church. Services are entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary.
