Obituary of Patricia G Bell
Patricia G. Bell, age 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, surrounded by her family. Patricia was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Charles and Ruth (Davis) Griffo. She attended Scecina Memorial and Arsenal Technical High Schools. She continued her education at Marian College and worked in the library at the Indianapolis Star. She married Robert N. Bell on August 26, 1961 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, who preceded her in death on September 29, 2012. She was very creative and many remember her by the afghan blankets she crocheted and gifted. She also enjoyed painting and entering crafts at the Indiana State Fair. She loved thrift shopping whether that be Goodwill or neighborhood garage sales. After many years of being a homemaker and raising her children, her love of reading led her to work as a Library Page at the Broad Ripple and Glendale branches of the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library, where she worked for over 25 years. She was an avid fan of Indiana sports, particularly the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and Indiana University Hoosiers. She also loved family vacations, especially when she got to see birds and lighthouses. She was greeted in heaven by her parents, her husband, her sister, Marty Bell, as well as many other beloved family members, where we assume a very large game of poker is taking place. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Collins and her husband Brian (Pat's favorite), Maureen Mifsud and her husband Vince; and her son Robert "Bobby" Bell and his wife Maren; and her grandchildren, Sean Collins, Kevin Collins and his wife Katie, Erin Gaeta and her husband Antonio, Skylar Mifsud and his wife Shelby, Aidan Mifsud, and Liam Bell; and her great-granddaughter, Stella Mifsud; her siblings, Chuck Griffo and his wife Diane, Mary Grant, Greg Griffo and his wife Hazel, Vince Griffo and his partner Dan Johnston, and Tony Griffo and his wife Norma; sisters-in-law, Kathy Crabill and her husband Gib, and Maureen Bell; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church, 5884 Crittenden Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46220 on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.ORG
